I have been living on the island of Fuerteventura for nearly a year and at the end of November 2016 decided it was time to buy a car. It soon became clear that second hand cars would be more expensive than in the UK.
I looked at various Facebook style sites where people sold their own vehicles but the whole process of buying with all the spanish legal work totally put me off. Talking to friends i was told of "About Cars" and how they operated – everything spoken about them sounded great and as they spoke in English along with other languages, that too convinced me to find more about them.
I looked on the website and saw that the prices of the cars for sale would be within my budget so I sent a request explaining what I was looking for.
Within a day or two The Manager of About Cars – Wieberen called me and a couple of days later he came to meet me and we discussed the type of car I was after. Wieberen said he had a couple of Fiat Pandas (the car I was looking for) due to arrive on the island the following week. I gave him all the documentation he wanted from me and a few days later Wieberen emailed me photos and a full discription of the car.
I agreed on the price that was being asked for the car and for a little extra Wieberen said he would be able to do all the legal paperwork – change of ownership etc . he would also be able to sort my Car insurance which I had also been concerned about.
Two weeks after my original inquiry Wieberen delivered the car with all the paperwork duly processed, a brand new ITV test
Certificate, along with a two year warranty, my Insurance documentation etc.
I have been very impressed with the service that Wieberen and About Cars have provided and will be looking to use them again when it comes to up grading my car in the future.
